Alex McMurray

007 is the brainchild of G Love and Special Sauce drummer Jeffrey "Houseman" Clemens, who in 2000 enlisted Alex McMurray, guitarist Jonathan Freilich and Bassist Joe Cabral to play favorites from the Jamaican rock-steady canon. With an emphasis on the music of Desmond Dekker and Toots and the Maytals, 007 burst on the scene with a danceable vibe, sunny vocal harmonies and wicked instrumentals. They have two CDs: 2008's You Only Drop Once and 2004's Studied Rudeness.
